4 c. brussels sprouts, rinsed, trimmed & cut in half.
8 – 10 strips bacon, cut in pieces
4 Tbsp. maple syrup
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
In a large, deep skillet, cook bacon until browned and crisp. Remove bacon with slotted spoon and set aside.
Add brussels sprouts to bacon drippings. Saute until brussels sprouts begin to brown and are tender to the point of a knife.
Add bacon back to the sprouts in the pan. Add maple syrup, salt and pepper. Heat until syrup coats the brussels sprouts and they are nicely caramelized.
