Apple Peach Fruit Leathers


1 1/2 c. all natural applesauce

1 peach, pureed

1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 tsp. ground ginger

1 pinch nutmeg

1 pinch allspice


Combine all ingredients well in a mixing bowl.  (I recommend doubling this basic recipe.  Since it takes so long to bake, might as well make two cookie sheets worth rather than one. ) Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.  Spread applesauce mixture evenly and thinly onto parchment paper.  Bake at 170 for 6 hours.  Watch closely the first time you make them and get a feel for your oven.  If you cook them too long they will become dry and loose their “leatheriness”.
